Rheumatology/Orthopedics Check for Movement in Arm fracture

Should we check strength ( pull in and push out ) in arm in patient of arm fracture ? FA case 3,if the patient is saying that he is feeling pain with every movement ??

Yes, you should do a full focused exam including checking for strength since the diagnosis is not established yet. If the pt really doesn't want you to examine they will refuse to be examined despite your reassurances.
Don't forget to say the magic phrase (I understand it caused you pain but it was necessary for me to reach an accurate diagnosis in order to provide you with the best treatment of your condition. I will not do it again.) once you have completed the examination.

In first aid he didnt check for strength,,,,,,,,,,,,only range of motion bil.......

You can read that shoulder pain case with dislocation,,,,,,fracture or absuse ....osteoporosis,,,,,,and see for yourself,,,its not written there,,,,,,also in real exam,,,,,,i didnt check for strength in one of pain case.....and i did pretty good on ice

A LITTLE AMENDMENT I WOULD LIKE TO DO IS THAT,,,YES CHECK FOR STRENGTH ONLY.......IF THE PATIENT IS NOT TENDER,,,,ON PALPATION AND RANGE OF MOTION..........AND WHY WOULD ANY DOCTOR DO STRENGTH CHECKING ON PATIENTS WITH PAIN.....with tenderness on palpation and rom

there is no point in doing it....................the sentence in first aid writes

unable to assess strgth because of pain ( during palpation and rom) in patient notes
