Inspection & palpation of lower back & knee (rule of thumb-always examine one jt above & below the site of pain + start from the normal side first).
& Gait
Also, palpation to look for local tenderness (trochanteric bursitis) but remember NOT to touch the underwear.

Glad to be of help.
I am transitioning from CS to Step 1 forum but feel free to PM me whenever you need my input.
Just before my test, I had many last minute doubts and everyone helped me out.
By the way, when is your test?

That's normal. I also did the same-I also made the mistake of arriving at the center two days before the test thinking that it will help me acclimatize and help me concentrate being away from the family. But all it did was make me more nervous being all alone there and I did nothing for those two days. But my friends here supported me and kept my confidence up. That's exactly what you need for this test-confidence.

Remember, CONFIDENCE is the key in this test. You should approach each encounter like in a real clinic with a real patient & a real doctor would approach a patient.
You have come this far and you will pass this test without any problems and I am here to help whenever you need my help.
