any chance you can find a partner online?
Practising with a partner is very important. I am sure it is doable without, but it will be much easier with a partner, so if at all possible, try finding someone, online or live, or ask friends, spouse, or pretty much anyone.
If they are not in medicine, just practise the exam with them and time it (eg imagine you are doing an exam for someone with cough, and do all the relevant maneuvers). For that, you don't need anyone who knows medicine.
Even that would be helpful.
If you really can't find anyone, someone said that they practiced with a teddy bear - might be a last resort?

Good luck!

I passed with only a Skype partner, didnt do any live practice......it can be done....I do suggest finding a Skype partner though just so you can go through the motions with him/her

What I did while studying alone was write out exactly what questions I was asking for each case in a seperate book....this gives you repetition on what questions to ask, etc.....then after reading the case I would try to write my own d/d and work up .....the last page in each case is very helpful to know what positive findings are for each case

For PE, I would watch YouTube videos, they have some really good ones there.....there is this one YouTube page with do many examination vids and they are short and to the point, can't remember the channel right now but I will update it when I find it

Then I would practice on my mom a couple times just to make sure I got it....don't forget to time yourself to see hoe long your examination takes as it should be around 3-4 mins tops!

Also, search youtube for dr Laura's blue sheet video on cs. I used only that protocol and it's awesome

Good luck

There is a sub forum in the Step 2 CS forum where you can look for a study partner! I found mine there...
Just scroll all the way down to the bottom when you are in the CS forum and you'll see it!
