Hammer and Otoscope Special Physical Exam Tests

Do you need to do special tests for eg drop arm test lachmans etc for musculoskeletal exams or just the basics?

If these are needed to rule in/out one of your DDx, then yes, do them.

For shoulder special tests how far do u need to go?
just check for rotator cuf tear by doing drop arm test and check for impringement only??
usmleworld have physical exams demonstration and only include these 2 tests.

You could do those 2 tests only and if you have time and feel confident you could also try the Neer Impingement test and the hawkins test (both are quick and reliable)
