Help Done withe CS, feedback please

So, I took my CS in philly and well after it was over I don't know if I was relieved or more stressed. I could remember all the things I did not do and as that is considered normal I will not stress about it. But, here are the blunders I did make and your input is appreciated. I know I can't change anything but for my peace of mind

1) For my Abd pain case, I forgot to mention Rectal/Pelvic examination in my investigations. IT was imp as one.

2) For one of the the cases I forgot to do the CNS examination. It was one of the differential but I ran out of time as I had left that for the end

3) 2 cases were so vague that I had no idea as to what the differentials were even. Just had a general idea and did a general examination..

4) The patient notes, had no time to read them after typing them. had to hit submit.

5) could not fill all the 3 D/D's in some cases

Pretty sure there are more. But, I think I handled the patients ok, answered their questions and concerns.

How bad is this?

I don't want to scare you, but your experience sounds rough. It is rather similar to my experience, and I am not expecting a good result

1) no big deal

2) could be a large error. It depends on what the chief complaint was. For example, I had two lightheaded patients, but didn't have enough time to do a HEENT or Neuro exam on them. That costs me alot of points of ICE.

3) Hopefully they were the experimental cases, which might explain why they were so vague. Otherwise, perhaps you missed important info in your H&P

4) no big deal

5) no big deal. you are NOT required to give 3 differentials. 2 is enough. If you don't believe me, check the official guide.

Good luck to you. Hopefully the dropped cases are the ones you are not sure about.

If it was Presbycusis, then ur probably alright. U simply lose points on PE, and then on the pertinent negatives (from the Neuro exam) on your differential.

If however, he actually had an unsteady gait, or Romberg was positive, then that changes things. Does that make sense? Basically, it's rough because that is an important exam to perform for that case. I know this all too well, given my mistakes (not doing CNS on lightheaded patients).

Best of luck to you.

Yes, that makes sense. It was an old lady, so hoping it was a case of Presbycusis. We will have to wait and watch. Nothing more can be done.
