Default Just took the CS

literally 1 hour ago.

Overall i found i hard , but not impossible

I had trouble with time management... how important is this? , the bell rang on me like 6 times during the closure.

I find that i asked what i had to ask , i did what i had to do and i started my counseling and usually counselled at least about 1 thing. But yeah i did ran out of time a lot.

Does anyone if thats enough to make me fail?

Everything was in FA or Kaplan btw

Was the patient doing something bad that warranted counseling? If yes, then its bad if you missed 6 patients that needed counseling. If they were not doing anything dangerous, then there is no need to counsel after explaining your work up.

Can you please give an example and explain what you meant by saying that everything was in FA? Is it the doorway information that is similar? How about the cases? Where they similar?

of the 12 cases, 11 were basically covered in the cases/mini cases.

I got 1 case which was basically a carbon copy of FA, with even the same challenge question.

The others were variations of the same cc w/ different diagnostics.

I can't put it more bluntly, FA covered pretty much everything.

I did a lot of mini counseling like if a patient doesn't work out I would suggest him to walk 30 min or something like that.

I do remember clearly missing one counseling, which was dumb as hell because I didn't think about it right away, only when reading the patient note...

I don't want to post it here due to all the confidentiality but it was a very cleverly designed trick

Thank you so much. Does that mean I have to memorise the minicases too? I am finding it so difficult to remember them.

u dont have to memorize
the minicases
the differentials will come
to you naturally
also they are just giving
examples of workup
but u r a physician
u know best what tests to order
without having to memorize the
workup fa provides!
