Question Do we need detailed history taking if it's only PN graded!

Hi all,

I am going through both FA and Kaplan to prepare for my CS. I could see that the check lists for history taking are deeply different in that while on FA they have a very long list of questions to be asked, on Kaplan there are just very few key information that are required to be collected.

Honestly, I think that FA's approach can make me waste some time during the encounter and patient note. Do you think that, because history is now graded through PN only, we should keep it really short and skip general and only very loosely related questions? I am talking in particular of details about sexual activities or social issues in non directly sex or social related cases, or comprehensive ROS including too many systemic questions.

Thank you
