Default are 2 DDX enough?

Hi everyone. my questions are:

1. are 2 ddx enough for all cases? and in general whats the minimum DDX number needed to pass the exam?

2. is counselling closure more important than PE? for example just doing heart and lung auscultation due to time?

3. is there a point breakdown on PE? for example 10 points for History, 5 points on PE...etc

Hi, unfortunately I don't have an answer to your questions and I don't think anyone could have one since the way this exam is scored is kept (in my opinion absurdly) secret by FSMB/USMLE. From the rumors I could find in these weeks in which I am appproaching to CS exam, I understoot that
- 3 d/ds are always better because 2 may be enough for getting a minimum pass on the ICE component if you write perfect history and PE sections. Since I am sure my PE and HPi sections are gonna be far from perfection I am planning to strive to find 3 d/ds in each case. I would like to write 2 d/ds only in some cases where I might be blank-minded or short of time.
- Counseling and PE are elements of different components (respectively CIS and ICE) both of whoch are to be passed. Therefore I think they are equally important. The only difference is that PE is gonna count together with the whole PN and thus if you write a perfect note you might compensate a not-so-good PE; on the other hand if you miss counseling there is nothing else you can do afetr leaving the room to save your performance in CIS for that case.
- As I told you nobody knows how the PN and PE are going to count for building up the final ICE score. In my knowledge they have a checklist with series of PE items or d/ds or w/u tests or history and physcal elements that, if included in the note, qualifiy for credits.

Perosnally i think it is really unfair to have us play a game without being given the opportunity of knowing their rules in details, but it is my opinion only and therefore it is useless...
