Question Is there any difference in test centers for step 2CS

Hi,

I am planning to take step 2 CS in April and wondering is there any difference in test centers around USA. Preliminary I have registered in Philadelphia for April 14 but head from my friend that it is the busiest center in the USA and standardized patients are more tired and annoyed, which eventually may lead to lower chance to pass the exam. If you heard anything about it or if you took step 2CS in different centers, could you please share the opinion?

Thank you in advance for consideration and help,

Sincerely,

Jacob

Hi Jacob,

I took my test in Philly last May. All the Standardized Patients were really professional and none of them was giving any of us a hard time. I was actually surprised at how professional they were! Not one of them seemed annoyed to me.
The Philadelphia Center is bigger than the other centers, I think (not 100% sure on this), so they have more SPs and more students taking the exam there.
I know there are lots of rumors, I have heard people saying "I failed because I took the exam in location X, not location Y." If you ask me, people just need to justify their failing to themselves (understandable), and thats how these rumors come about.
I dont think there is any truth to it and I dont think it matters where you take the exam. I took it in Philly because that was easiest for me.
I know some people who did not go to Philly because of rumors and ended up failiing somewhere else...
Bottom line, take it whereever is best/most convenient for you!
