Default honest review of the updated version of CSE videos

Over all, It's not really over the top in quality. Have some issues as well positive points.

1. I get to see how the exam will be like and some cases that are not on FA so that part is interesting for me. As well like seeing interview of psychiatric patient and difficult patient. How to react on patient with acute distress.

2. I get to see P/E that i have problem with and can do them more effectively, like complete neuro, muskuloskeletal exam.

3. I pick up several decency towards patient that helped me. Simple things like offering a cup of water for thyroid exam, tying back the gown, extending the foot support/stool, etc

4. some of her explanation to the patient are good, using common lay man term in US, so that's helpful for me.

1. I don't think the patient note they provide will survive the new CS requirement of must have good reasoning to support you ddx. Frankly speaking, the PN is i think the weakest part. They often listed all same findings for all ddx on that case. Eg: listing h/o hiking as supportive findings for SLe in rash case.

2. The work ups given sometimes are way off. Eg: explaining the need to do abd Xray in positive pregnancy case just to "look for something new". What in the world does that going for?? there was no indication what so ever on that case to do AXR in my opinion.

3. Asking a lot of nonrelated qs. the hot/cold intolerance is present in almost all cases if not all.

4. She avoid doing important manuvers in order not to elicit pain. Eg not doing rebound and guarding for abd pain. The rule is not to repeat/recheck findings. Doing rebound is not the same as palpating for tenderness. Should have just told the patient that I know you are in pain, however I need to do several important exams in order to understand better your condition and make accurate dx, so please bear with me. I'll be as quick and gentle as I can.

As a conclusion: do I benefit from the videos? yes. I pick up several useful tips. It's still useful to some extent. But do watch it with some grain of salt. I am not trying to discredit anyone. I was looking for information about the "updated" version of cse and found very little info. So this is my personal review of it.
