Kaplan Medical Kaplan cs course predictive value

Hi,

Can people that have taken the kaplan live course list the percentage they got on the simulated test and how it correlated to your actual score in CS. Also, could you list how many days after the Kaplan course you took CS...

Thanks,

Hi,

I went to the Kaplan course in June 2013 and took step2 CS 4 days after the course. (Chicago)

I think the course itself had minor benefits; but the priceless thing was to meet and study with other applicants. We made a group of 6 persons and practiced at least 100 cases and 5 out of 6 cases.

The funny thing, I failed in Kaplan course mock exam (I think I scored 85%) just five days before my real exam, the teacher recommended me to re-schedule the exam but eventually I passed at the first time.

if you take the course, find the hotel that applicants stay and study with them over and over again.

Hi....I just took the sim-exam offered by kaplan and got:
CIS: 75%
SEP: 100%
ICE: 31%
Physical: 56%
Note: 29%

They told us that to pass CES should be 85-90%, SEP >95% and ICE >40%.

I wanted to know if you guys could provide your score breakdown on the kaplan sim exam. I was hoping to take cs in a couple weeks, and assumed I would easily pass the sim exam...but starting to worry. I do know that 0/24 people who took it the same day as me passed it, so i personally think they are just being very harsh with their scoring to get people to do the 5 day course and obviously when practicing it is always better to be graded harder.

Also I wanted to ask about the PN. Some of the things kaplan told us to do directly contradict what FA tells you to do. don't know who to believe.....

thanks for helping out guys!
