Default Kaplan live course experience

Hey guys!! I thought i should share my experience at Kaplan 5 day live course, since i was not sure if i should take kaplan classes or something else..I took mine at Chicago.
Day 1 - Lecture by Dr.L on about how CS works and how you should speak, what kind of questions you ask the SPs,etc. Then in the evening, we are divided into small groups and supervised by a teaching assistant. The TA gives each of you cases, and you have to take a focused history and PE. The TA tells you where you are wrong and how you can improve your opening statement and what's the right way of asking questions.
Day 2 - Lecture by Dr.C on Physical exam and patient note. She tells you what's the right way to write a patient note..Explains on the pertinent positives and negatives. In the afternoon, she gives a lecture on Physical exam. So, there's an SP and she shows all the systems' exams. In the evening, you have SPs in your small group and all the students take turns and examine the patient. The SP tells you what an SP looks for and what your strong points and where you are wrong.
Day 3 - Lecture by Dr.C again, on patient note. She starts by taking history from a SP and do the PE, while you take down notes and write a PN. Then, you give your PN to the student next to you. Then, we get a checklist and we grade each other's PN accordingly. After that, there are 2 simulation cases, and its divided into 3 groups. You go, take a history, do a PE and write a PN..Then, the SPs call you inside and tell you what they think about you, what you have done right and wrong...Then, you have a lecture by 2 docs (1 doc for each case), who tell you what questions you are supposed to ask and see how many you have asked and clear any doubts regarding that and explain the PN.
Day 4 - 12 patient practice test for groups 1 and 2. I chose to take it on day 5. So, we had a lecture on complex cases by Dr.L.
Day 5 - 12 patient practice test for group 3. After the test, Dr.L discusses all the cases you just had on the test.
They give you the score report after that and tell you where you can improve, point out at the pattern of mistakes and things like that 1 on 1.

This is how the kaplan course goes. The course is excellent. Not only do they tell you what's right, but also assess at all levels..What the SP thinks about you and what he expects from you..What kind of questions will be on the checklist and the PN checklist..everything..This is what i liked the most about the course..I mean, we all can study and practice at home..But, how do we know what's right and wrong and what the boards want from us..Who is going to assess us? But, no one teaches you what kind of questions you should ask for each case (like the questions on FA)..They just fine tune your abilities..So if you are taking the course, there is some ground work you need to do..Do FA first and you should know the questions to ask..No one is going to improve your knowledge..Its up to you to learn.

I was scheduled to take the test tomorrow..But i canceled it..I feel like i need to go through certain stuff..Typically, if you are done with everything already, it should take you a week to take the test..I would be ready in a week at least..May be you wont even need a week..It depends!

$150, anytime you cancel/reschedule the date before 2 weeks.
