Smile CS iin mid May, how do I start studying? SOS

hey there! I just started studying for CS. literally only thing i've done is write down some mnemonics and started reading the first chapters of FA. I was wondering were and how should I start studying? I'm studying on my own right now and once I feel I can start studying through skype I will. so do I go through mini cases first? and please if you could be specific, like do I just read the HPI and try to do DD and workup on my own or do I just read all of them? I'm a little lost as you can see.... so any advice would be helpful... thank you everyone!

I would suggest to read minicases first. Practice perform complete normal physical exam on friends or family, describing everything you do, like FA teaches you. Then come back to minicases and read the presentation, don't look at DD and Workup and try to write down DD, don't limit yourself to 3 DD. Then write down for each minicase what PE would you perform, so you will learn and remember what exactly to do and what to look for. Then start cases. You will be half done with your preparation, you would know DD and what kind of questions to ask, what possible diagnoses to rule out etc. And you would know what systems to check in PE, remember your PE should be focused at the same time they expect you to do other systems.
Also, very important, after performing normal PE, type it in PN practice site form usmle.org so you would remember what to include in your PN for each system. I practiced with SPs and I didn't write half of the stuff I actually performed on the SP.
Well, at least it is my strategy right now. Hope it is helpful.

hey i am taking exam in mid may too. started practicing last week. going through all the major cases first. write the mnemonic for a particular case then practice on SP followed by a patients note. i also see the related mini cases too. after i am done with my first pass of major cases plan to practice these cases 2nd time with a thorough PE and patient note!! That's how i am going about.
