Default help regarding cs visa

Hello ppl,
is it necessary to have appointment confirmation for step 2 cs to apply for B1/B2 VISA or is it enuf to have scheduling permit and visa letter from ecfmg?
I am asking this because if i fix a date and venue for step 2 cs for visa purpose will i able to cancel it later?

Well its not necessary to have your confirmation notice with u. But if you have it, then obviously u have a better chance to get the visa. Its upto the visa officer. My VO didn't even check any documents. And yes, you can change the date of CS later. Just check the usmle website and see how u can change it. I guess if u change it before 14 days of your scheduled date, you are not supposed to pay anything extra!

thank you neelmed.i have not given my step 1 yet.i have been studying for step 1 over a year coz of personal reasons .."graduated "+"notemployed" will it affect my chances???.i am showing my father as sponsor.i have to apply now coz of my observership which i had to start by august. worried

Step 1 is not a problem. Don't worry abt it. But not being employed is a little problem. Try to show strong contacts with your parent nation. Like property, family pictures, bank account etc. That will help your case.
