Question Narrative or bullet (telegraphic ) Patient notes

Hi members

I wanna know which is better use telegraphic method or narrative method in writing patient notes????

Me and many friends have bad results with telegraphic methods..Some peoples claim that they could estimate your errors more with telegraphic method.

Does any one with high performance used the bullet method??

It's more rapid and easier than the narrative one.

please let me know .

Both are scored equally. The physicians who score your PNs are only looking for relevant information, not for how you've presented them. So it doesn't matter either way. You can even use both methods in the same history.

I personally use a technique which is: The patient has ___, ___, ___ (and I list all +ve symptoms). The patient denies ___, ___, ___, (listing all pertinent -ve symptoms). I find this method quicker than the bullet-style even.

This is not the only cause Monika...

But i find the higher score notes among many friends were written in narrative method...Because you write it as a story with arranged events sequences(first aid method).....

But i will train my self on Haisok method

looks great and you take both advantages in it.
