Eye Loss of vision Question

A 65-year-old white male presents with complaints of “seeing wavy lines when looking at the doorway or blinds” in his right eye. He feels that this occurred suddenly and has no pain or other ocular symptoms. His past medical history is significant for hypertension. He has a 40-pack-per year smoking history. On examination, his visual acuity is 20/400 in the right eye. He has no RAPD and slit lamp exam reveals that his anterior segment examination is normal. Examination of his right fundus reveals a subretinal hemorrhage involving his fovea.
Which of the following is the most likely cause of this patient’s vision loss?
A) Age-related macular degeneration.
B) Acute angle closure glaucoma.
C) Cataract.
D) Diabetic retinopathy.
