Default Step 3 prep and exam experience

prep time: 6 weeks on and off. 2-4 hrs/day

materials. mtb3. only read IM and Peds.
UWorld 55% timed, unused. did it once
Kaplan Qbook. average 40/50 first round

NBME 3: 204

Real exam 203.

Day 1:
the MCQ were ok. not very difficult but time consuming and finished each block with seconds to spare.

Day 2: MCQ were a lot better and had 2-3 minutes left at the end of each block.
CCS: very straight forward. just pay attention to the little details (pre-op prep...etc.) don't do consult from the start because the case will end right there. finish all your orders and management then do consults/surgery.

Good luck all!

I took my CK 2 yrs ago and I only needed 6 weeks of prep. That's how easy step3 is.
