Question History of failed Step 3

I have passed step 1 and step 2 with great score. However due to personal problems I had to take step 3 several times and finally I passed that too. I know step 3 is not required for application, but the history of several attempts will automatically appear on my profile and will reduce my chances of getting interview.
Is there any way I can get it off my ERAS profile? or any other suggestion..

There's no way that you can disallow residency programs from seeing your USMLE step 3 attempts. Unless, you want to hide it in ERAS by saying that you did not do it but that's not a good idea because you will ultimately be discovered and they may site you for irregular behavior.

I suggest that you send emails to the residency programs that you will apply for and tell them the reason you failed step 3 was personal.

Don't worry about it too much, Step 3 score does not go into the selection formula.

All the other steps are considered but more importantly Step 1, for more information read here Why USMLE Step 1 Score is more important than USMLE Step 2 Score

Thanks steptaker,
it is encouraging, although I think this several attempts might filter out the rest of my application and they might not notice the good points on my CV to begin with.
