Default How good is "Master The Boards Internal Medicine" by Conrad Fischer for Internal Medicine portion of USMLE Step 3 .

I was wondering how many of you might have studied or tried " MTB Internal Medicine" for Internal Medicine portion of USMLE step 3, and how good was it in comparison to " MTB Step 3 ". Both books are written by Conrad Fischer and are quite similar in their format of contents but " MTB Internal Medicine " is a little more detailed. It is almost the same size as " MTB Step 3 " but covers only internal medicine and not the other subjects of step 3. I have read both books and I found many chapters and topics were better explained and with more management details in " MTB Internal Medicine" than " MTB Step 3 ". Because the highest number of questions in Step 3 Exam are from Internal Medicine portion , there should be a separate Poll for " Best Books For Internal Medicine Portion of USMLE Step 3 " and put " MTB Internal Medicine" as well in the choices .

You don't need it. Just do questions.

I have a physical copy of the MTB Internal Med book. Its honestly the same exact material but condensed, no kidding. Its less detailed than MTB 2 and 3, just straight to the facts.

If u have MTB 2 and 3 dont bother with MTB internal med, unless u want to carry it around in wards and have a quick read. Hope that helps.
