Default Pediatric question

A 3 year old boy is brought to the ER with a 39.4 C (103.0 F) temperature and decreased food intake for the past 2 days. His mom tells you he has been refusing to walk since this morning. He is generally healthy except for a hospitalization at 3 months of age for bronchiolitis. His mom has sickle cell trait and his father history is unknown. Labs: WBC: 17000, Hb 7.9, Hct 30%, Platelets count is 255000 and MCV is 70. Urinanalysis and electrolytes are normal. X-rays of his legs shows no abnormalities. Blood cultures are pending. He is admited for further management. The organism most likely causing his infection is:

A. Pasteurella multocida
B. Salmonella species
C. Staphylococcus aureus
D. Streptococcus pneumoniae
E. Streptococcus pyogenes

PS: it will be nice if you can give some explanations to your answer
