Hey guys

I am currently a resident in Boston

I am starting preparing for step 3 next month

I have though of using master the boards by conrad fischer

I am thinking of which question bank to use

any thoughts people??

also any body starting their prep too?

Following much research:

Step 1: Kaplan Books and kaplan q bank

Step 2: Kaplan book and umsle world

after talking to many peers

for step 3

apart from MTB

I have bought kaplan q book..started a few questions.. will update you guys as i go along..

I have heard about a family medicine board review qbook

i dont know the name... doest anybody know?

could they forward me the name

I have heard it is good esp for paeds and obs and gynae which i have limited knowledge and experience

Among all the residents here, in america, esp the american graduates

they have this thing going about preparation time:

They say:

1) 2 months for step 1

2)2 weeks for step 2

3)2 days for step 3

I dont believe it. at least for me this will not work.. i need considerably longer amount of

Planning to do a few readings of MTB before i start my question bank

It would be great if more people can join it and those who are starting their prep

we could all share info...

thanks again

after sharing these few thoughts re my prep, i am gonna head off for tonight

MTB is on board and kaplan q book

need to find about this family med review book

question bank online: deciding between usmle world and us consult?

any thoughts people

Bad weekend with the studies

did very little

kaplan qbook seems ok enough

am deciding whether to get kaplan qbank???

From what i have heard kaplan q bank has questions and asnwers related to master the boards...

has anyone tried it before??

bad weather in massachussetts this weekend

I think it is time to start another read of master the boards

Obs andf gynae, and paed worries me

I am reading Swanson's Family Medicine Review, the questions seem very USMLE style.. and quite easy, but with pearls thrown in.
