USMLE Step 3 Triage: An Effective, No nonsense Review

This is a very good book. I've spent money on Kaplan, Crush, First Aid etc and can say-this is (by far) my go-to one. It focuses more on diagnosis/treatment and doesn't have a lot of unrelated trivia, it just tells you what the committees recommend (like ACOG, ADA, etc). It has some questions in the text but their actual practice questions-and there's a free website with more questions.

Seems like the important subjects are outlined a lot more, too (concise and relevant goes a long way in test prep). Personally, I want a book that takes the content for the test, distills it to what is tested the most, and gives a solid review. Triage does that better than any of the others. Take it from someone that knows (and spent too much finding out), this book is really very impressive.

Triage is good, but you'll need more than triage

I have step 3 triage book, it just doesn't work for me.
infact, I wouldn't mind giving it away for free if I don't have to spend the delivery fees.

Master the boards and Crush seem to be good, but I have not taken the exam yet.

If you look at Step 3 Triage closely and compare it to MTB you'll see that there's a lot good info in both books. I'm reading both books.

I will come back here after my exam and make a proper review on all the review books I used, until then it is not possible to say what works.
However, MTB seems to be good in allowing you to answer what is the best next step (CSS cases), crush seems to be small and missing allot of stuff, but I love the way it is written and I am using it as my primary review book.
Having gone through the USMLE CD content, the best way to prepare for the exam is:
1. Step 1 and 2 material and very good overall background knowledge
2. understanding on how to manage patients - Routine screening tests, common things that must always be done (step 2 CS material), best initial tests, best initial management, Emergency room/Family medicine routine guidelines, etc
3. familiarizing with the CCS software

How to do that in a months/ few hours a day of studying is the tricky question.
