Default Possible to take USMLE?

Hi,

I recently married to a lovely young doctor in Bangladesh (long but funny love story story). She graduated medical school in 2007. She passed part of the FCPS part 1 in Bangladesh and is currently a practicing physician.

If anyone can help me answer a few questions:

1) What documents does my wife need to gather in order to take the USMLE in the United States? She'll be over on a K3 spousal visa.
2) Given the gap between medical school and now, is she eligible to take the usmle exam and have it count?
3) How much money should my wife and I set aside for exams and books for part 1?
4) Is it better if my wife studies and works or is it best she simply only study for say 6 months or so?
5) Any other advice?

Thanks in advance. I'm clueless on this topic and help is appreciated.

Answers
1. Pls visit https://oasis2.ecfmg.org/
2. Yes
3. Depends on her previous knowledge, she may need some courses, books price are online. And from ecfmg you can get exam fees.
4. Full time study will shorten the preparation period.

Best of luck my Bangladeshi doctor
