Calendar When is the time to take step 3?

I have a question.

After doing step 2 CK and CS, you first do step 3 or apply for residency.
No Idea, can anyone please help me.

Step 3 exam is not needed to enter the match and to start residency (unless you are looking for H1B Visa).

Therefore you can postpone taking step 3 until after your start your residency.

However, taking it before residency is a good idea, for more information read here
