Cool Antibodies and associated diseases

Here are some of measurable antibodies and their significance.. Source is Davidson's Medicine..

- Anti Centromere... CREST
- Anti Topoisomerase I (anti Scl70) and anti RNA polymerase I... Rapidly progressive Scleroderma
- Ant Jo 1 ... Polymyositis/Dermatomyositis
- Anti Ro (anti SSA) ... SLE (35-60%) associated with photosensitivity, thrombocyopenia or Subacute Cutanuous Lupus. Maternal is associated with neonatal Lupus and congenital Heart Block. Also with Sjogren's (40-50%)
- Anti La (anti SS-B)... Sjogren's OR SLE (20-60%)
- Anti Smith .... Lupus (usually benign)
- Anti RNP ... Mixed Connective Tissue disorder
- Anti Microsomal Ab... Primary Billiary Cirrhosis and Autoimmune Hepatitis
- Anti Thyroid Peroxidase (TPO) is the main component of "Thyroid microsaml Ab" .... Hashimoto's (90 to 100%), Grave's (50-80%)
- Anti TSH (can be stimulating or blocking) ... Grave's (80-95%) espescially with ophthalmopathy or Hashimoto's (10-20%)

Yeah, these are some of the antibodies, the less commonly used. Of course there's the anti dsDNA, Rh factor, ANA, p-ANCA, c-ANCA
