GIT CCS Flexible or Rigid Sigmoidoscopy?

When ordering a Sigmoid scope is it a ridged or flexible?

Flexible but usually you go for complete colonoscopy anyway...

On USMLE World CCS there it was explained you do a Sigmoid and yet I agree with you 100%

Even the Questions in Kaplan Step 3 said sigmoid I think it has to do with cost.

As the CCS cases are actually reviewed by docs, I mean, not automatically scored, do you think it matter if you just go for colonoscopy vs sigmoidoscopy.
I guess I would go for sigm. if it's a screening type of thing withough prevous history or family history. If there's been anything in the past, I would go for colonoscopy

Watch out, even if it's cheaper, there are specific circumstances where you have to do coloncoscopy, not sigmoidoscopy.
