Question Ideal Time for step 3

I heard ideally IMGs should have results of step 3 before applying for the match. But this is not possible for me. If i get my CS result on 14th August then how much time is required for ECFMG certification then after applying for step 3 waiting for scheduling permit?
what is the earliest possible time for this for me?

thanks and waiting for response

It is incorrect that ideally you should have step3 before matching. Very few community programs want IMGs to have step3 before match. Most dont consider Step3 for matching.
Usually you get ECFMG certified within 2 weeks of clearing your final exam (out of Step1,CS and CK). I got ECFMG certified 2nd day after I was done with CK and got the certificate 4th day at my home. All you need is all document work complete(for ECFMG) and you will not face any delays.
