Show Teeth My Step 3 Experience (Scored 238)

Finally done with USMLE!!

I took the Step 3 last month while in the U.S. for interviews. It was not part of my plan to take the exam before residency, but things fell into place and I found myself in a position where I was able to get the last hurdle out of the way.

The time I had to study was around 15 days. I decided to go with MTB for Step 3 and subscribe to UWorld QBank + CCS. I was doing 2 blocks of timed, random questions per day with thorough revision after each. I read MTB along the way and did a few CCS cases whenever I needed a change in mood.

By the end of the 15 day period I was done with the QBank with a score of 66% and felt pretty confident with the CCS system.

The exam was loooong! At least it felt that way seeing as I was sick, but I manged to get through the first day with a semi-satisfactory impression. The second day was a lot better. The MCQ blocks were shorter and easier and the CCS cases were completed in no time and I was out of the test center by 1 pm.

Very happy to be done with all the steps. Now just waiting for the match!!
