[Questions are attached in the jpeg file below - sorry too long to type out! ]
ANSWER CHOICES

QUESTION 1 -

a-CT head
b-MRI head
c-EEG
d-D/C and F/U in 2 weeks
e-EMG and Nerve conduction studies


QUESTION 2-
a- check carbamazepine levels
b- give lorazepam 2mg iv
c- load with fosphenytoin
d- D/C with prescription for oral phenytoin
e- Head CT
f- MRI brain

1. A
looks like myoclonic seizures, recent onset in a person over 50 years old makes you wonder.. better to do a CT scan.

2. B
She is still seizing, first we must control the seizures completely and then I would follow with A, she is noncompliant until proven otherwise

here are the answers with the explanations

(the choice options might be mixed up between a-b-c-d)

the first one is a partial seizure - rule out intracranial lesions with CT

the second ones a break thru seizure - check drug levels
