Info Step 3 Application Process

Hi there

i just wanted to ask about the application process for step 3.

1.there are some sates that IMG can take the exam in......i just wanted to know
CERTIFICATION OF IDENTIFICATION .....sign by the notary public has to be done by the same state in which the exam has to be taken??? As there are states that have requirements like 1 year of training experience and so forth whereas others dont .so how to go about this?

2. how long does the application process generally take?? as it can be 3 weeks or so for the other step exams.

thanks!!

No, it does not need to be in the same state where you're going to take the exam; you should apply for the ones that do not require 1 year of training (for instance: CT)

Step 3 process was the fastest one I've ever seen! Really easy; now make sure that you want to take your exam as soon as you start your application because once your paperwork is approved they assign you for your 3 month eligibility period- you cannot choose it for yourself. I hope this helps. Good luck!

Hello everyone,

I am applying to take the Step 3 exam and it asks to identify a State Board I will be sitting for, I currently live in Texas but eventually want to practice in California. Which one should I sit for?

Thanks in advance!
