Question CCS - Duration and frequency of treatment

i apologize if this question has already been asked. but rather than spend hours trying searching online for a definitive answer i thought it would be faster to ask this question on the forums.

In CCS cases i know you do not have to know the brand name or dosage of the drug you are ordering. However you do have to know the route, duration and frequency. So my question is how do you input duration and frequency on the exam?

I know that you can select the route of administration but the frequency options remain as either single dose or continuous dose. For example, if i were treating an uncomplicated case of cystitis and the patient turns out to be pregnant, the correct therapy would be 7 days of nitrofurantoin. After i follow up in 3 days and the patient's symptoms have improved you are prompted to end the case, but i still have 4 more days of treatment and i do not have to follow the patient anymore. so how do i end the case and indicate that the patient still needs 4 more days of treatment?

Thank you in advance.

I would assume that would be it, if the case ended and you nailed the diagnosis then you are golden.. most people freak out when a case ends quickly but in fact thats how it is suppose to be.

If you are doing correct mgmt you will be fine... in fact you can probable put in the counseling part of the exam : continue treatment until the 7th day course. or smth like that.

I havent started with CCS yet so take whatever I say with a grain of salt.

I had a similar question, but i have been setting up appointments accordingly like after 7 days and even if you don't and bring back the patient in 3 or 4 days i think you can leave those antibiotics in there along with the rest of your orders.

and i don't think it would cut points if you even delete those order if the case ends as the exam itself says ....you don't need to know Duration and Dosage.

Goodluck
