Form Step 3 identification form

Hi,

Could someone please clarify if my step 3 identification form can be attested by any notary public or only an US affiliated notary public? Some say it can be done from the US embassy but there are no notary publics in the embassy. There are only counselors that attest documents.

So my understanding is that we can get the form attested from any notary public from our country. I am in Canada. Please clarify.

Thanks in advance.

Any notary can attest it in any country.

Question Did it work???

Hi Pectoralis,

I was wondering if FSMB considered your CID form valid even though it was notarized outside the USA.

Here's the thing, how should I fill the form when they ask me about the STATE and COUNTY in which it was notarized...

Any help would be of great value
