Question Clinical exposure necessary to pass step 3?

Hey Guys, I want to ask those who have already cleared usmle step3 that Is it important that you need to have some clinical experience to clear usmle step 3 or you can clear it with good marks without having any clinical experience?

Hi, it depends on what you mean by clinical experience. If you are referring to residency, it is not absolutely necessary. I just passed the exam and I am still applying for a residency spot this matching season. I think if you had above average scores in CK you will do fine

Not at all, having solid clinical foundation and with practice of the correct qbanks and CCS cases you dont need clinical exposure in the form of U.S residency.

We IMG´s often have way more clinical exposure compared to U.S graduates because we take our compulsory internship before graduation (and hence before ECFMG certification).

For example I did good on my exam and im not even a Resident, just study hard and study smart and you will do fine.
