Question How to choose step 3 eligibility period

hello doctors;
I want to apply for my step 3 exam and I made my account on FSMB and I need to take my exam in late june or first july, but they said on fsmb site that you cant choose your eligibility period!!!? and when your application is approved you will be assigned 90 days eligibility period.....now I want to know how long does it take to process my application so I can know approximately when to take my exam ........I'm outside USA so I need to send it by fedex, and one more thing any notary public can verify the identity form for me ??? or it must be a one in USA???
thanks alot

For me (I live in Mexico) It took them roughly 21 days to process my application, sometimes they give you 15 extra days (to compensate for the amount of time it took them to verify you etc).

It is correct. THe moment your application is accepted THEY assign you your elegibility period; which will immediately follow the DAY your app was accepted and verified.

Lets say your app gets accepted in January, Your scheduling period will go from January (lets say 15th) to April 15th, if they compensate for the amount of time it took them to accept your app, your elegibility period will go from Jan 15th to May the 1st (rough estimate)

Regarding your other question; in the SSN number space just put your USMLE ID (the one you have been using to log in to IWA in ECFMG and such).

Study hard from now so that you can feel comfortable when choosing your exam date.
