Hi beattheboards -

I'm taking the exam in March. Really not feeling well about it. Got First Aid, Kaplan qbank, and Archer. Really nervous right now.

Been studying since August and thought I'd have a stronger grasp of it all but I don't. I really like Archer and it's helping me.. the others is just causing me brain exhaustion - information overload.

I just subscribed to Knowmedge for Internal Medicine questions. So far it's really helpful. I was struggling with some concepts that their printouts are really helpful with... especially the cardiology ones for me. Has anyone else used it?

Keeping my fingers crossed that this is the last and final resource!

Im planning March too. Just done with UW step 3 for the questions. Planning to buy Archers CCS workshop before I start CCS from UW.
What do you guys think? Anyone who's started CCS who can advice me on the right way to prepare for CCS?

@megz2107 Archer is really good. A lot of people say it's a "must" for Step 3. I didn't do UW.. opted for Kaplan instead. And just recently got Knowmedge for more IM Questions. I definitely need more practice on that.

Your plan sounds solid! My only advice is to stay steady.. practice and learn everyday. Just few weeks left for the exam now - hang in there! Wishing you all the best!

Hi, Thanks for the advice. Im gonna but Archer in a few days.
I did Kaplan and UW for the questions, and honestly Kaplan doesn't cover even 1/3rd of what UW does. So unless you're really good I'd suggest you get UW. It's totally worth it!

@megz2107 Thank you for the recommendation. I felt Kaplan was lacking as well especially on the IM stuff - that's really why I got Knowmedge. It's really really good for IM. I know a couple people that took it in December and passed with high scores using Kaplan, Archer, and Knowmedge.

Once I get done with that (hopefully in a couple weeks), I might go back and wrap up with UW questions. Hoping that's enough.

@iffat - Don't think you have to read Kaplan notes. If you want an additional source, I would do Archer. And if you have time and are struggling with IM questions - then not a bad idea to get Knowmedge. Otherwise, I think you'll be ok

Good luck!!

Beattheboards - thanks for the motivation!

My plan: Archer videos, Knowmedge questions, First Aid as a reference while I do questions. I am still not feeling great about this exam but definitely better after watching a lot of Archer videos and Knowmedge questions the last couple weeks. I wish I could push off my exam a week because the next couple weeks are going to be really busy for me at the hospital

Hey SCGal,
Yeah I agree, there are no definite sources for this test. MTB has worked for me for the previous tests and so I will quickly go through their HY STep 3 videos. I have ordered them from eBAy and waiting desperately. From what I hear, they are short simple and to the point. Will keep posting my daily goals.

Good week for me this past week. Got through all the Archer videos and half the Knowmedge questions. Really kicked it up a notch the past week. I'm exhausted but must say both the Archer videos and Knowmedge video qbank.... really really awesome!

Still got half the Knowmedge questions to do and will probably go through Archer one more time.

I feel better than just a couple weeks ago... fingers crossed

Hi everyone.
What would you all recommend for biostat questions? Is uworld enough for that.? Uworld have only some questions for biostat. Exam in 2 weeks. Done with uworld and uworld ccs. Doing mtb. But still I am scared because i have heard its unpredictable exam. Any more recommendations?

Hi iffat - 67% of UWorld is pretty good I think. I didn't buy UWorld this time but 67% is higher than some of my colleagues are doing. I would recommend Archer and Knowmedge if you still have time. I wasn't feeling really good about the exam a few weeks ago. After watching the Archer videos and completing about 600 of the Knowmedge questions, I feel much better. I still need more practice but I at least feel better now.

MTB seems to be popular and I think a good choice as well though I am using First Aid. Also, @beattheboards is saying it has worked well for him.

Also, here are a couple of biostats questions from Knowmedge - they put it for free on their site. https://knowmedge.com/blog/tag/biostatistics/

Good luck!!
