Cool June Step 3 takers

hello, hello
This is for all june/ july step 3 takers
I've finished CK on 19 April and started with step 3 a week ago
Starting with UW and trying to do 2 blocks a day but not keeping up, too many distractions!! need a kick! I have these recommendations : make flow chart diagrams on "approach" to this and that
Make mnemonics for CCS (when I get to it)
Need divine intervention to do a quick review of CK notes (MUST DO MUST DO)
so, who's with me??

Count me in guys. At the end of June, hopefully!!

I've done UW, and now just doing Kaplan Qbank, and the CCS cases. Still have about 10 cases of the software left, and all 42 handout cases

Do the 10 software cases in a day and the rest of 42 cases in the next two to three days. Go over UW mcqs again and again and don't bother to kaplen qbank much as it does not correlate the real exam. UW mcqs and ccs are very much near the real big deal but real exam questions are veryyyyyyyy long and draining so practice hard on uw.

Thanks for the tips. I am almost done with Kaplan. Yeah, its low yield, but its good for integrating the concepts of MTB3. I hate reading that book again, so the questions are a good reinforcement. Besides, its only like 18 blocks altogether. Not a lot of questions, and I finished like all of them in 3 days. Just 6-7 more left to review.

How do u find the CCS cases? U think that UW cases are enough? And which are more important/high yield? The simulated 52 cases or the handout 41 cases?

Lastly, how did u do the handout cases? There is just so much information.

Real exam mcqs are very tough than the uw and lengthy as well, first day drains all your energy. Second day is cool. What ever you do you cannot do much better on day as 50% exam is of resident level and remaining 50% is of uw like exam. But can do better on CCS so practice ccs a lot every day till the end. 41 cases give you an idea but there is a lot of knowledge in them and software is what you will see in exam, so do all 93 cases. Practice, practice and practice. In exam you will see many other cases but if you have practiced ccs uw cases many times, you can easily solve exam ccs cases. Consult neeraj notes for ccs tips. You can download them on internet.

Hope it helps.

Hello!
long time since my last post.
anyways, taking the exam on june. Just finished UW 70% average first time random timed. took the UWSA yesterday and felt like crap afterwards. A lot of info not seen on the qbank and long questions too. I ended up choosing blindly the last 3-4 questions of each block because of time. made some stupid mistakes. however I managed to get a 237 in this self assessment. which still does not help a lot since I have seen all over the web that in this test neither UWSA nor NBME appear to correlate closely with the exam results. I have done 35 ccs uw cases and Im honestly nervous. I hear people talking about step 1 type of questions, lengthy, and resident-level, and I get freaked out.. my exam is in less than 3 weeks. lets see what happens.
