Default CCS or MCQ which is more important to pass

I want to know which is more important
Is it the CCS or the MCQs that the boards rely on in deciding your passing score?

In my score report I failed the MCQs but I had good ranges in CCS and the final score was 79.
So I guess that CCS are more important.

ccs is only 25% of the total exam , i have a friend who scored high on ccs, closer to high performance, but failed due to MCQs....thats the truth as i have seen her score report, so be wise before trusting the forums and not working hard enough.....step3 needs a lot of hard work, it is last exam of USMLE series, there are NO short cuts....

it's the css that acounts more...
though abit mote complicated the mcq , it really acounts more , because it shows the ability to manage real pt and to order the only the apropriate investigation within time-ceiling

Warning! Of course it's the MCQs

The multiple choice questions constitute 80% of the exam structure. They are definitely more important than CCS in determining success.

It is the CCS that will make or break the exam, check this http://www.ccsworkshop.com/About_us.html

I think CCS is gaining more weight in step 3 exam recently.
