Hey guys, let's get this poll started. Which Step 3 course have you taken or do you plan to take as far as preparation goes?

Kaplan has a variety of programs just as they do for the other steps, including:
LivePrep
CenterPrep
DeluxePrep
Online and Supplemental
Books and Software (or just buying these)

check out this link: Kaplan Step 3

Default dr.red course

dr.red course or archer course has best video lectures for step 3. CCS workshop is loaded with good tips to get more from CCS
kaplan has more content but the archer lectures given the price advantage is something you can consider over kaplan.

Kapln step 2ck is way better than Step 3.
I am using Master the boards which is concise kaplan for step 3 and i think it is better than full kaplan. But best material is in archer or dr.red course. CCS is fabulous in archer. For theory portion, I have archer notes but i am looking for lectures. Can any of you guys here share if you have a copy? I can pay a portion of your cost? Thank you

I attended ccs workshop from dr.red yesterday , it provided great orientation and practice for ccs, i could completely understand the Gist of CCS and oh boy!...., so many things to be changed in the new CCS software from next week . The New CCS is a bomb. It is changing in Real time difference only but it will affect the speed a lot. I am scared of these 10 minute cases but dr.red made it look so simple to practice with his amazing speedy approaches that we can apply to navigate faster.

Archer theory lectures are concise and great to understand for mcq, they are focused on highyield topics so, I am using it for a good portion of my step 3 review while practicing on kaplan and uw q banks. But dr.red says practicing CCS is really fastest way to pass this exam . Be well prepared with CCS and do Archer theory lectures and a q bank from kaplan or uw. These are very much enough!

Default CCS is the way to go for Step 3

CCS is one of the best short cut routes to pass Step 3 ...Dr.Red (Archer Step 3) course addressed this the best and the smartest short 36 hour lectures for mcqs on right on point. My motto is to do the best you can on CCS and optimal on MCQ

Agree with you...I think even after new changes, I heard CCS is still playing a huge role. I am doing Archer and UWorld, will revise with MTB in the end. Any thoughts?

Soma! I watched the sample endocrinology video on Archer website and it is boring as hell. Slides are poorly prepared and very crammy! On the top of that the guys accent is thick and at times annoying.

Do you still stand by your statement that Archer videos are the best? Have you seen medQuest videos?

Just finishing up Archer and UW. Best I believe is Archer which seems to cover fundamental concepts and basic sciences of Step3 very well.
Medquest is too out of sync with new step 3, deviates too much and does not focus on highyield.
