Filling ECFMG Forms; Clerkships Question!

hi everybody
i would like to ask about clerkship ,should i choose it in on -line application or not.
i am IMG & i did in- turn after graduation for 2 years ,befor graduation i had also attended clinincal sessions inside hospitals for 1 year . i have also had postgraduation training & study in certain medical specialty.
so,please,informe what should i choose clerkship or internship.& if clerkship what should i write in this field ,do i have to write in detail all hospitals that i worked in them or what.

Clerkships refers to any clinical rotation you have done "outside" your core clinical curriculum. For example, volunteering and clerkships that you have done on your own and it's not within the curriculum of your medical school.

Internship refers for clinical rotations that are organized and controlled by your medical school. For example several Caribbean medical schools send their students for internships in US hospital for training.

If what you have done is outside these two definitions then you don't need to answer about them in any ECFMG Form.

I did two electives in US while I was an intern (compulsory rotation before graduating) in medical school and they are not in my curriculum. I did them to gain some USCE. Should I write that as clerkships while filling out ECFMG form?

I don't know about that, the page on the ECFMG application says:

"The term clinical clerkships refers to that period in your medical education in the clinical disciplines during which, as a medical student, you gained practical experience in hospitals or clinics through rotations, pregraduate internships, etc."

So that would be all the clinical practice you had during your medical training, right?

Yes. Any clinical experience you gained that is not mentioned in your final medical school transcript. If it is mentioned in your transcript then there's no need to mention it as extra clerkships.
