Question When do you need the ECFMG Certificate?

Hey guys!
When do you need the efmcg certificate?
Do you need it while applying to eras or during the match?

I will graduate probably in july 2016, I would have written both step 1 and step2(ck as well as cs) by then, but ill get my degree in july 2016!

So would I be able to apply for march 2017 match????

Thanks

You will need your ECFMG certificate when you apply in ERAS.

Yes. You will make it to the 2017 Match.

Usually around 3-6 months but it depends on several factors such as if your school participates in the EMSWP then it's much faster.

Yes. You apply in September 2016 for the March 2017 match.

wow, you're thinking long term here. Get the step 1 and step 2 done. then worry about ecfmg. lots can change so no sense worrying about that at this stage of the game. You have many hurtles to overcome but with hard work and focus you'll do it.
