Post How Do I File an Age Discrimination Complaint with Age discrimination lawyer in Los Angeles?

Before file an age discrimination complaint, you must arrange your proof and do some basic research. The complaint process and its filing deadlines will range depending on whether you are making a state, federal, or municipal complaint. To present an EEOC charge, you must provide information about the alleged discrimination either in a signed letter or in person. You normally must file a federal complaint within either (180 or 300 days) of the date of discrimination. Once the EEOC done your complaint, it will investigate your claim.

The EEOC has very tight resources and cannot manage every discrimination complaint in the United States. Even if you have strong evidence of age discrimination, the EEOC will decide not to litigate your claim. Once an investigation done, the EEOC will issue a “right to sue” letter. Under federal law, you cannot file an age discrimination lawsuit until you have this letter or if you file a federal lawsuit before the EEOC issues a right to sue letter, the court will automatically dismiss it.
