Matched**!!
240/233/221(results after interviews)
1mo usce
1 publication and 1 poster
2015 grad
GC

9 interviews, bulk received in October, 0 contacts. I recieved majority of my ivs from the Midwest and east coast. Congrats to everyone that matched! Good luck to everyone applying next year! Please feel free to ask any specfic questions. Those that didn’t match, I know nothing I say will make you feel better right now. Although I didn’t apply last year but I was meant to, had to delay due to health reasons while all my classmates were matching and moving on with their lives. It was a very tough time for me. So in retrospect from that experience my 2 cents is that’s It’s important to know that each and everyone of you guys have your own unique path to medicine and that it’s not a matter of ‘if’ but ‘when’ you match. So hang in there and do it all over again next year!

Thank you.

I was reluctant to share my credentials because I know I am not a strong applicant and maybe I don't deserve to match. I am sorry to hear you didn't match and I can understand how frustrating that is. This, of course, is not the end of the world! Don't give up.

I graduated in my home country 13Y ago. Worked as a certified physician and life brought me to the US. I spent the last 2Y studying for the Steps, getting USCE & volunteering. It was my first time participating in the Match - I feel very lucky & blessed to have Matched.

Do not loose hope, improve your resume & try again next year. You must try to make connections locally. Try to volunteer at a hospital/local clinic that have connections with a program you are interested in. You got interviews, which means people were interested in you. Try to work on your interview skills as well if you think you could have done better. Good luck !

Wow first try and u matched, amazing.

Itís hard for me to get connections since I donít live in the states, I am in Canada, I will do the Canadian exams and apply to Canada, at the same time I just did step 3 few days ago, so hopefully that will get me the double interviews this time.
