Default What to do while waiting for residency application to start

Hey guys!
So I would like to get some advice. I am done with my Step 1, 2CK and 2CS exams. Now I am waiting for September to apply for this coming match. I want to know what I can do in the next coming months. I would like to do something in the medical field while I wait, what are some medical jobs I can do while I wait? I would like to apply for FM and Peds, so any ideas on what we can do while we wait?

Any advice would be appreciated. Thank you in advance

Try to get multiple hands-on clinical experience in the specialty you want to match so that it can improve your CV and get provide strong LORs.

If you have not completed Step 3 exam complete the exam, but dont take it if you are not ready, gain hands-on clinical experiences. Get volunteer work to improve your CV and get connections it can help the application.

USMLE Books Get USCE while you're waiting

Hello! You can try to find research, and you should also be thinking about US clinical experience to earn strong LORs for your September applications. Do you currently have any LORs from US doctors & institutions? It partly depends on your Step 1 and Step 2 CK scores, but generally speaking, it is always advisable to get US-based LORs in order to get more interviews for Nov/Dec/Jan. Our agency helps trainees like yourself by offering various programs we've developed that are designed to give you strong US clinical experience and hospital-letterhead LORs from teaching hospitals. The fee is similar to what hospitals charge when receiving and processing applications. You can always apply at www.ace.md/apply, and then have a 30-minute consultation to discuss available options and to figure out what would be best for your particular circumstances

Sincerely,
