Default 2020 psychiatry residency applicants

Post credentials with this order:

Step 1 score/Step 2 CK score/CS/Step 3/YOG/LORs/Visa status.

We know psychiatry is becoming competitive by the day.

My credentials are:

249/214/attempt/197/2011/2 letters from US professors in research at McLean hospital, 18 months by time of application, 1 publication as a main author and coauthor in a paper to be submitted, a LOR from a psychiatrist in US in a private clinic and another from a neurologist, another one from a surgeon back home/Need Visa.

Good Luck to you!

20*/21*(2)/CS(2)/Planning to take Step 3/ 2019/4 LORs pending from 4 psychiatrists/US-IMG/ 6+ months Psych USCE, 1 year psych research, 4 psych publications, 3 psych poster presentations & lots more.

My CV looks nice for psych but we all know that it doesn't matter because my attempts and scores really suck . Psych is getting competitive and the spots are already so limited. And what's worse? My spouse lives in NYC so I'm not planning to apply broadly .

My only hope? Contacts and a passing step 3 score

I cant afford to fail Step 3 so I won't rush to take the test. But I won't apply for match 2020 unless I take and receive a passing step 3 score by late September.

Wish me luck!
