Got 68 programs so far (57 anesthesia 11 prelim) Any idea if we apply to both advanced and categorical at the same program does it count as 1 or 2 programs? (fee wise) |

Will it be difficult to get the match without experience as anesthetist in my country and without research or publications as many of you ? Will it be difficult to get the match with excelents results in the Steps (maybe above 235-245 I think), a couple of month of USCE and a couple of LORs? I plan to prepare to apply in 2015. Thaks a lot!!

Haven't heard from any prelims per se except I paid 26 useless dollars for an app to Brooklyn Hospital Center who withdrew their prelim positions from NRMP. This should AT LEAST be accompanied by a refund.

US-IMG Step 1:206 (yikes), Step 2 CK: 247, CS: Pass. All first attempt. 1 Rejection Wayne State (Anes), 1 Invite Loyola (Anes), 1 Invite Mt Sinai Chicago (PM) Do most people have Anes. experience in the US? Hopefully next week will bring in more traffic now that Dean's letters have been released. You all have good scores so stay positive!
I'm just wondering when Ill hear back from Prelims? I probably have to wait until my CK is released.. I hope I don't hear rejections from my top schools before then! ![]() |

Interview at Advocate Illinois Masonic ... useless since they had no interview spots. Any information how this works? I'm on a waitlist for an interview date?

@knockout: heard about that happening- as long as the program knows, don't worry- they'll contact you when they have a date open. I think a lot of USMG's schedule a bunch of interviews in the beginning, but cancel later through the season. Everyone I know last year got an interview off of a waitlist. So congrats!!
