People here say orthopaedics is near on impossible for IMG, however according to NRMP 2009 (last one I can find with specialties individually examined): average USMLE score for step 1 for matched IMG applicants= 226 average USMLE score for step 2 for matched IMG applicants= 228 most IMG...

I've done my post graduate M.S in Orthopaedics. I am doing my private practice in India. I am not satisfied with the work and am not getting paid for the hard work I'm doing. Do I see a better future after giving USMLE?

Wat abt orthopedics or anaesthesiology? I mean residencies in either? Would an elective in either be just a waste of time and money? In other words should i forget abt residency in such specialities?
