I'm planning on doing the Step 1 exam around August 2011, I will try to follow a plan maybe with a shortest study time if possible, but we'll see how it goes.

I'm just in the process of gathering my reading materials, and looking at the Goljan pathology book, I can see 2 versions of rapid review pathology on amazon. The 2004 version which is around 380 pages, and the 2009 version which is around 650 pages. I'd prefer going for the smaller book ) but is the 2004 version enough detail?

Go for 2009 version

I advise you to go with the 2009 version.

Much have changed from the 2004 edition. The more pages are for greater tables and more high yield information.

Many saying that if you master the 2009, you don't need to read any other book.

Yeh, was leaning towards the 2009 version to be honest. Just ordered it off amazon .

I just find it strange how there's such a big difference in the sizes of the 2 versions. Normally there isn't too much difference between versions of textbooks.
