C. Serum gastrin ?

A routine physical examination demonstrates hypercalcemia in a 40-year-old man. Circulatory levels of parathyroid hormone are also elevated. Exploratory surgery of the neck reveals diffuse hyperplasia of all four parathyroid glands.
