Yes but No!
Anesthesiology has long been viewed by AMGs has the specialty of choice because of easier hosptial-lifestyle and higher pays.
However, it seems that the "American" trend is shifting away from it during the last couple of matching seasons and thence more and more IMGs are matching in it.
However, that doesn't mean that if you get a low score you can match in it nor the reverse.
Scores are important, yes, but they are not everything. There are several other factors that play role in getting you a match.

- Years since graduation
- Age and gender
- US clinical experience
- Connections
- Letters of recommendations
- Research
- Publications
- CV
- Personal statements
- Interview skills
- IMG friendliness of the program
