I've seen a question talking about Anti-CCP in RA. So what's it? and is it really a high yield info for the CK exam?

Anti CCP is one of many autoantibodies present in RA
* in about 70%of Pts ( while RF in 80 % ) but is more specific than RF about (about 98%)

* Anti CCP often present before clinical disease is diagnosed

*Both Anti CCP , RF +ve pts has more erosive articular lesions and extraaricular lesions

other Autoantibodies : ANA, pANCA
